Smooth, uniform, round roots with good internal color (slight zoning). Has green petioles and leaves. Retains its golden color when cooked.
I grew these last year for the first time. I have always grown red beets, in the past. To say gold beets are sweeter than a red beet is an understatement. These gold beets are incredible. If you like red beets you will love these as they are like "candied" beets in comparison. I never knew what I was missing all these years as a home gardener. You must try these...you will not be disappointed.
